Doctoral Dissertation Information

I am currently completing two Doctoral (PhD) Degrees. One is in Clinical Psychology and the other is in Industrial & Organizational Psychology

My Dissertation is studying the personality traits of Paramedics in the United States. It is titled:   "Personality Traits That Promote Positive Selection When Interviewing Paramedics for Potential Employment"

I am researching the personality traits of Paramedics that have been working in the field of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) for 5 or more years, as compared with Former Paramedics that quit EMS prior to 5 years of service.

I will be using an assessment tool called the 16PF Assessment. Participants will take the online assessment anonymously. Each participant will be randomly assigned a login number, and asked to fill out a questionaire and take the online assessment.
The entire process will take about 45 minutes, and can be taken as time allows.

I am hoping to find a difference between the personality traits of people that stay in EMS and those that don't have the personality for EMS and quit to seek employment completely out of the EMS system. I am hoping this will greatly promote hiring employees that are best suited for long term employment in EMS.
